Prepare to don your mop-top in the name of charity, and visit the host of Beatles themed family fundraising events taking place throughout the city of Liverpool. All proceeds from the annual Beatles Day event, including Beatles Day - The Concert, will go to The Beatles Day Foundation. The foundation is a charitable trust that raises money for many worthy causes particularly those improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people.

BEATLES DAY 09 was officially launched by John Lennon's sister - Julia Baird and TV star Ricky Tomlinson at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Julia is a Trustee of the newly formed Beatles Day Foundation and Ricky is a Patron of the charity. She and Ricky handed over cheques raised by the Beatles Day appeal last year to the Imagine Appeal and Liverpool Unites worth £45,000. The patients and staff on the Oncology ward joined in a singalong to 'She Loves You' and 'I Saw Her standing there'.

The first ever BEATLES DAY last year made the news in places as diverse as China, Russia and New Zealand! The Tourist Information Office in Liverpool City Centre reported Beatles Day as its second busiest day ever!
