The Best Of British Variety Tour is back for its third consecutive year in 2010 after the huge success of the last two years.  Brought to you by Tony Denton Promotions this unique tour unites the cream of variety entertainment from past decades.  After popular demand Paul Daniels and The Krankies who took part in the inaugural tour return to Best of British alongside the host for the show the irrepressible Christopher Biggins, Irish singer Dana, The Grumbleweeds and for the first time as a solo act one half of one of the most famous comedy double acts since comedy began Syd Little of Little & Large fame.  The tour starts on 13th August for the first of two nights at the Blackpool Opera House and culminates on 28th September at Buxton's Opera House.

PAUL DANIELS - In the world of television magic, no one has enjoyed more success both on ITV and the BBC ever. His creative genius enabled him to produce consistently stunning shows, never rivaled in spectacle, covering the full range of the world of entertainment magic, from small, 'close-up' effects, to enormous outside broadcast illusions. With too many awards to mention and a reputation as one of the most popular society and show-business entertainers, Paul has entertained Royals and Prime Ministers around the world,  has starred in his own hugely successful West End Theatre Show for a record 14 months and headlined in Las Vegas and Broadway.  His TV career has not been limited to performing magic, as a presenter, he has hosted many popular game shows including  'Odd One Out', 'Every Second Counts' and  'Wipe Out'.  He has also designed special effects for stage and screen including Cats, Phantom of the Opera and the film of Return to Oz and many more. More recently, Paul was commissioned by the English National ballet to create magical effects for their new version of The Nutcracker and he also appeared on the last series of 'Ant versus Dec' on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

THE KRANKIES - Scottish married couple Ian and Janette have been in show business for over 40 years - headlining in every major theatre in the UK and Australia.  Known for their catchphrase Fan Dabi Dozi and from many eighties TV shows "Crackerjack, Krankies Klub, The Krankies Electronic Komic to KTV" The Krankies had their own TV show for 12 years.  Recently they have appeared on many French and Saunders TV shows and Janette was featured in the very successful situation comedy "Dinner Ladies" and has also played a diminutive Pamela Anderson as a Pole Dance to Dawn French's Elton John in their Christmas Special 2005/06 along with many other characters. Janettte was also nominated for best comedy piece on TV 2004 for her portrayal of the Scottish Midwife in 'Absolutely Fabulous'.  The duo have performed at many Royal Variety Shows and won comedy act of the year from the Mirror in 1978.  Last Christmas the duo took part in the Paul O Grady Pantomime on Channel 4.

THE GRUMBLEWEEDS - career has spanned over 3 decades and been molded to perfection through numerous performances in cabaret clubs, concerts, pantomimes and summer seasons. It was on radio, however, that they made a major breakthrough with their highly successful award winning BBC Radio Two series, 'The Grumbleweeds' which ran for 15 series from 1979 to 1988. They launched professionally after appearing on TVs "Opportunity Knocks" going on to appear on "Max Bygrave Meet New Faces". Original members Robin Colvill and Graham Walker have enjoyed success in most aspects of entertainment even appearing as series actors in Emmerdale, Heartbeat and Coronation Street. They are heralded throughout the business by their peers as "The Governors" enjoying record-breaking success in virtually every major seaside resort both here and overseas.  The Grumbleweeds are firmly established as a number one attraction in the country and look forward to enjoying even more success in the future. They have over 90 years combined experience of making people laugh!

SYD LITTLE - found fame as one half of the massive comedy double act Little & Large the recipients of numerous awards for their TV, club and theatre performances throughout the country, including their own BBCTV show which ran for fourteen years.  Little & Large are established as one of Britain's finest double acts and recently celebrated 48 years together. Syd frequently appears on television and radio and recently featured in ITV's Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Trust Me I'm A Holiday Rep and Chanel Four's Big Brother Party with Jodie Marsh, as well as BBC Radio2 and Radio 4. As an iconic figure from the 80's Saturday night TV generation of great entertainers Syd is in great demand on the corporate circuit and still delivers value for money laughs and energy. With his unique, homely style, Syd offers very funny material alongside hilarious anecdotes about his 48 year career as Little & Large.

DANA - is an international recording artist and one Ireland's most successful entertainers, having enjoyed outstanding acclaim through best selling recordings, top rating television appearances and major headlining concerts both in Ireland and abroad.  She rose to fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland in 1970 with the song 'All Kinds Of Everything' which reached Number One in the UK.  Subsequent top ten hits include 'Please Tell Him I Said Hello' (No 8) and 'It's Going To Be A Cold Cold Christmas' (No 4).  She is a TV personality on major domestic and international programs, including her own hit series, A Day Out with Dana (BBC), Wake Up Sunday (BBC), and the Dana Series (RTE). In 1987, Dana was first invited to lead 86,000 young people in singing her composition "Totus Tuus" for Pope John Paul II in the New Orleans's Super Dome.   She also was a successful politician until recently.

CHRISTOPHER BIGGINS -actor and winner of the 2008 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Outta' Here' on ITV1 and current co-presenter with Lesley Joseph on BBC London - the man is a British institution!  This multi talented celebrity firecracker will be hosting this year's show.  Last seen on the recent series of the popular Channel 4 series 'Celebrity Come Dine With Me' and his autobiography 'Just Biggins' has just been published.  Theatre work has included - 'The Play What I Wrote' (directed by Kenneth Brannagh), the narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, as Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium and 'London Assurance' with Judi Dench and Donald SInden for the Royal Shakespeare Company.  TV appearances include The Likely Lads, Some Mothers Do Have Em, The Ronnie Barker Show, Porridge, French & Saunders, I Claudius, Poldark and more recently Bad Girls. Film credits include Applause with Lauren Bacall, The Rocky Horror Show and as Stefano in the Derek Jarman film version of Shakespeare's The Tempest.
