Day Dream UK Theatre Tour 2012

The Multi-platinum selling mezzo-soprano has announced details of her UK Daydream theatre tour.

It will be her first theatre tour in three years - and coincides with the release of her latest album Daydream - released October 10th on Warner Bros Records.

Daydream was recorded in LA and London in Spring 2011 after Katherine once again teamed up with John Shanks (Take That, Westlife) in the US and Simon Franglen (Barbra Streisand, Céline Dion) in London.

Katherine herself comments: “I had an amazing time on my first arena tour but Daydream is a very intimate album and I wanted my tour to reflect that.  It's a chance for my fans to see me up close and personal in some of the UK's most beautiful theatres”.

Katherine Jenkins is the alternative opera star. A popular phenomenon, rightly referred to as 'Britain's favourite singer'. She has pop star glamour with a girl-next-door personality, who performs in rugby stadiums as much as opera houses and has outsold Maria Callas. Last year she released her fifth studio album, Rejoice, outselling the likes of Girls Aloud, Celine Dion and the Spice Girls.

Re-defining the concept of classical crossover, Katherine has survived personal tragedy, classical snobbery and even insurgents’ missiles to become a superstar in a class of her own.
