No Sleep 'til Manchester
In keeping with tradition Lemmy and co head out on the road again as Motorhead announce dates for annual year-end UK tour.
The 2011 edition includes 11 shows – all in November – starting on the 2nd in Wolverhampton and wrapping up on the 18th at the Manchester Apollo.
Supports this year come from two of Britain’s most respected and long standing Punk bands Anti Nowhere League and UK Subs.
The huge success of their 35th Anniversary tour in 2010 and the release of critically acclaimed rockumentary ‘Lemmy’, proved that Motorhead are very much keeping everything louder than everything else.
Motorhead formed in 1975 by bassist, singer & songwriter Lemmy have the reputation as one of Britain’s foremost rock bands due to their albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace Of Spades & No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith.
Whilst the band are typically classified as heavy metal – Lemmy dislikes such labels, preferring to describe the band’s music as ‘rock ‘n’ roll’. The band’s - Lemmy, Mikkey Dee & Phil Campbell’s approach to music is that they prefer to play live as that is what they enjoy & do best.
Motorhead tickets are on sale from 9am Friday 13th may.
