Today it’s been announced that J.Cole the first artist signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label has been added as Very Special Guest on Tinie’s forthcoming arena tour. Cole recently toured the UK on the sell out Drake tour to stunning critical acclaim.

Tinie Tempah’s number one, debut album Disc-Overy has sold over half a million copies to date and earned him 2 Brit Awards – one for Best Single for track Pass Out and the other for Best Breakthrough Artist, both of which were voted for by the public. The album has also spawned two number one singles Pass Out and Wrestlemania anthem Written In The Stars and 2 top five singles Miami 2 Ibiza and Frisky. His fifth single Wonderman featuring Ellie Goulding was released last week. As well as his arena tour later in the year, Tinie Tempah will also be rocking crowds at various UK festivals including Wireless  and V Festival.

Patrick Junior C. Okogwu (November 7th, 1988) , better known by his stage name, Tinie Tempah, is a rapper and MC from Plumstead, South London. Tinie’s first music video for promotional single ‘Wifey’, became an underground smash hit holding the Channel U urban chart top spot for 10 consecutive weeks in 2006. He plans to release his LP, “The Disc-Overy” in July 2010.

His personal break came with a YouTube video hit of a track called “Wifey” and scoring a track for a hand-held computer console alongside DJ Ironik in 2005. Patrick went on to shoot his first music video for “Wifey”, which went on to be an underground smash hit holding the Channel U urban chart top spot for 10 consecutive weeks. Alongside his cousin who came on board as manager, the pair set up their own label, Disturbing London Records, through which Patrick released his first official mixtape, Hood Economics Room 147: The 80 Minute Course.

As well as featuring Bashy and Chipmunk, the CD caught the attention of a writer from the New York Times, who gave it a glowing review, noting Patrick’s shifting rhyme schemes, delivery and “nerve.”
In mid 2009 Patrick released his second mixtape, “Sexy Beast: Volume 1”. Inspired by the Ray Winstone film, the CD featured M.I.A. on I’m Hot and proved to be so popular that the South Londoner ended up making another D.I.Y. video in New York.

He has been hired by several clubs such as Rochester club Amadeus in the past as an entertainer but is now set to try to further his career by appearing alongside hit artists such as Chipmunk. Wiley once claimed Patrick would never make it, triggering a feud that signalled an end to any dual performances between the popular grime artists.

His debut single “Pass Out” has received radio play from Tim Westwood, Nick Grimshaw, Annie Mac, Ras Kwame, MistaJam, Jo Whiley and Chris Moyles while Zane Lowe declared it the “Hottest Record In The World Today” and “Single Of The Week” and is currently on the BBC Radio 1 Playlist A List.
In addition Reggie Yates named it as the Weekend Anthem for 20/21 February 2010.
The Official Music Video is out and the track was released 1 March. On 7 March 2010, “Pass Out” went straight to #1 on the UK Singles Chart and the UK R&B Chart.
